The location of the hotel was perfect, within walking distance of all the attractions and amenities of the area. The house itself was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and a powerful shower. The kitchen facilities were excellent, and it felt like a real home away from home.
One negative aspect I experienced was the lack of parking options nearby.

The location of this cottage is unbeatable, with everything you need just a short walk away. It's big enough to comfortably accommodate a group of six adults, but even for our party of four, it felt spacious. the cottage is beautifully decorated with a nod to the local area and its history. the beds are huge and so comfy, and the shower is powerful and always warm. the kitchen has all the facilities you could ask for, making it feel like a real home away from home. Oh, and finding parking was a breeze even during a busy bank holiday weekend!
The cottage is located on a slope, which was quite difficult to navigate for our elderly parent. It would have been helpful if this was mentioned in the description, as it would have allowed us to plan accordingly.

The cottage we stayed at was absolutely amazing. It had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen facilities were great too. We loved the central location, as we could walk to everything Windermere had to offer. The house was deceptively large and could easily accommodate up to six adults. The only slight downside was the slope outside, which could be challenging for elderly family members. However, overall, we had a fantastic week and would definitely stay again with younger family members. Highly recommend!

I absolutely adored the charming decoration of Swallows Nest! The house had such a warm and cozy atmosphere, with lovely touches that celebrated the local area and its history. The common areas were spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book. I was particularly pleased with how accessible the hotel was for senior people like myself. The rooms were well-appointed and the beds were large and comfortable. I also appreciated the powerful and warm shower, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel truly felt like a home away from home.
The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is to have a warning about the slope outside the cottage. It was a bit challenging for my 83-year-old parent to navigate.
